From an early age, I have been drawn to art, gardens and the way thoughtful design can shape how people live and experience space. That early curiosity developed into a lifelong passion for landscape architecture and an appreciation for creative thinking that is both expressive and grounded in purpose.

With over two decades of experience in residential landscape architecture, I have seen first hand the importance of carrying design intent through to completion. The most successful landscapes are those where ideas, materials and construction detail are carefully considered from the outset, resulting in gardens and outdoor spaces that feel resolved, functional and enduring.

Tristan Peirce Landscape Architects was established in 2018 to offer a dedicated residential landscape architecture practice in Perth, focused on quality design, clear documentation and a deep understanding of how landscapes are built. The studio was founded on the belief that great outcomes come from collaboration, strong technical knowledge and a shared commitment to design excellence.

Today, the practice is supported by a talented and close knit team including Ella, Dave, Lewis and Ryan. Together, we bring a balance of creative design thinking, material expertise and practical problem solving to every project. Each team member contributes to the studio’s design culture, ensuring our work reflects both individual skill and a collective approach.

My professional journey began in Perth, followed by extensive travel throughout Europe before completing a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Western Australia in 2002. After graduating, I worked with Blackwell and Associates Landscape Architects and later Tim Davies Landscaping, where I spent eleven years developing my expertise and leading a multi award winning team as Principal Landscape Architect.

That experience continues to inform how our studio operates today. We design residential landscapes that are considered, site responsive and buildable, working closely with clients, architects and builders to create gardens, pools and outdoor living spaces that stand the test of time.
