A Contemporary Family Garden.

These Cottesloe clients asked for increased functionality and aesthetic of a central courtyard that housed an underutilized pool, with the goal of also enhancing physical connection to existing living zones. In our design, a fully tiled raised pool was constructed in the main outdoor living area, and the former pool shell was used as structural support for new concrete bench seating in the now private courtyard. Simple geometry and softened corners of hardscape components link the courtyard and pool spaces together. As well as a composed planting pallet that draws greenspace into key areas of the home. A simple design outcome with subtle detail and innovative use of materials delivers a successful, well used space.
