Trench Pool and Garden
Focusing on the clients brief to develop a landscape concept that focused on the ideal family garden and pool guided the design heavily. By using a trench raised pool, we created the illusion of minimizing the pool fence, while adding additional greenery to the space. Reducing the visual impact of the pool fence, allows the client to have a direct sight line from the kitchen to the pool for passive supervision of the children. With the addition of the structure and curved feature wall the eye is drawn to the back of the garden creating depth. The planting palette focused on structure, color and texture through the use of grasses, structured agaves, low form shrubbery and succulents.
